As for the quiz, I found bits of it hard to answer. Some of it had poor wording, IMO. For example:# It's more important for our country * To help the poor and helpless * Reduce the deficit and national debtAs a COUNTRY (which I define as PEOPLE rather than government), I think the first is, by far, the most important. But as for the GOVERNMENT itself, then the latter is its biz, not the former. And I'd be happy if it got out of the way when it came to giving the poor and helpless REAL help (which it hinders at least as much as it helps). I finally decided that by "country" it meant "government" so clicked the latter. But that's not my actual values, just where I think the priorities of the government should be. That, and personal experience has taught me to fear the words, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Other questions, like this one:# The problem with the US justice system is: * Too many plea bargains and loose interpretations of law * Not enough rehabilitation and prisoner's rightsNeither one applies to me, as I see it different from that. I finally went with the latter since I do think a very big problem is that too many people are locked up for things that shouldn't even be criminalized in the first place, and if they weren't, then there'd be more room for those who SHOULD be locked up instead of releasing them several years earlier just so we can give some potheads a "mandatory minimum sentence." But this is just an example of how I went with one without fully agreeing with it. And it wasn't the only one. virgotaurustaurusYou Are 30% Conservative, 70% Liberal Social Issues: 25% Conservative, 75% LiberalPersonal Responsibility: 25% Conservative, 75% LiberalFiscal Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% LiberalEthics: 0% Conservative, 100% LiberalDefense and Crime: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal venusdeindiaYou Are 65% Conservative, 35% Liberal Social Issues: 75% Conservative, 25% LiberalPersonal Responsibility: 75% Conservative, 25% Liberal { no surprise...}Fiscal Issues: 75% Conservative, 25% LiberalEthics: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal { BIIIGGG Surprise }Defense and Crime: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal meta_4How Liberal Or Conservative Are You?You Are 20% Conservative, 80% Liberal Social Issues: 25% Conservative, 75% LiberalPersonal Responsibility: 0% Conservative, 100% LiberalFiscal Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% LiberalEthics: 0% Conservative, 100% LiberalDefense and Crime: 25% Conservative, 75% Libera LEXXI see most of us are: quote:Ethics: 0% Conservative, 100% LiberalamowlsSocial Issues: 25% Conservative, 75% LiberalPersonal Responsibility: 0% Conservative, 100% LiberalFiscal Issues: 75% Conservative, 25% LiberalEthics: 0% Conservative, 100% LiberalDefense and Crime: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal
